Val is an ACE & NASM certified personal trainer and Group Fitness Instructor here at Synergy Fitness NY with certifications in Zumba, Spin, Kick box, Body shred, P90X, Insanity, Trampoline/Rebounding, TRX, Kettlebell and more. After 21 years as a clinical massage therapist in strictly clinical settings, she’s become a hands-on, practical expert in pre & post operative recovery exercise, Prenatal exercise, exercise modifications for people with injuries and for injury prevention in addition to straightforward weight loss and muscle building modes of training. She teaches a variety of formats for our regular group fitness program as well as small group / team training in both high and low intensity formats. Proclaimed by her students as “The Squat Nazi” Val prides herself on being a stickler for form and very easily bored which adds that ‘what will she do to us today?’ aspect to her training. Constant variety, deep knowledge of form and function and the ability to adapt and empathize with clients from ALL walks of life has led clients to success for over 15 years with Synergy Fitness NY.
